Our homes are more important than ever

As we look back on a turbulent spring and summer due to the world health crisis, this has resulted in a change of lifestyle. Many of us have learned to work from home, spend our vacation at home and now the home has become more relevant than ever. This crisis has changed the way we have worked at Rug Solid, however it has not affected our goal of creating beautiful and sustainable design. We are excited to share with you innovative designs that pushes the boundaries of design while being made of exclusively sustainable materials.

PET Collection

A rug for those who do not compromise on design and functionality. If you love the beautiful texture of a wool rug but lack the functionality of a plastic rug, the PET Rug is made for you. If the accident is out, it is easy to clean the carpet with a cloth. Although it is made from recycled plastic, it is as soft as a wool rug. With these qualities, you do not have to worry about the small mishaps in everyday life and the durable structure allows you to enjoy the design for the next many years.

Old plastic. New design. The PET rug is made of recycled plastic that is collected from the streets and thus avoids ending up in the sea. The plastic can, for example, be from old plastic bottles and a 60 x 90 cm rug contains 40 recycled plastic bottles.

Sustainable luxury. There is nothing like the feeling of lowering your feet into a soft surface on the bamboo silk rug. As the name suggests, bamboo silk has an identical feeling of silk. This means that you get the beautiful velor shine as from a silk rug and extremely soft feeling it gives - and at a fraction of the price.

Made from sustainable bamboo and recycled cotton. The soft bamboo silk is created by the sustainable bamboo plant. The hard stem from the plant is dissolved in water and the fibers are then spun into the thread we use. The back is made of pure recycled cotton.

It's about quality.

So our thread is 3x stronger than the industry standard.

A classic. Reimagined.

Landscape rug. A new standard for Scandinavian design. The wool rug Landscape lifts your home to new heights in design. It is made from a sustainable wool mix and finished at each end with a luxurious edge made of Italian leather we get from the production of a world-renowned luxury fashion house in Italy.

Nord rug. So classic, and yet so modern. The Nord rug is a completely new variation of the classic rug. With tassels in each corner made of recycled calfskin that is soft as butter. Walking on the rug is a dream and feels like walking on a field filled with marshmallows (if it exists, we are still looking). Give your everyday life the ultimate design and comfort it deserves.

We use the finest sustainable New Zealand wool. The carpet structure is made in what we call ‘Handloom’. That is, structures consist of thousands of small knots and this can be seen on the back of the rug. This means that the rug is incredibly durable and can last for many years.
